The program "STRIVES for Exceptional Excellence" aims to assist teenagers and adults with disabilities in achieving greater independence through a multifaceted approach. This educational initiative focuses on social skills development, educational technology, money management, and essential life skills, catering specifically to individuals who are transitioning from the school environment into adulthood.

Many participants in this program are on the cusp of graduation or have already "aged out" of high school, as outlined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This legislation provides crucial support to students within the public education system tailored to their individual needs. However, upon reaching the age of 21, many of these supports diminish or cease, leaving a significant number of adults with disabilities facing a challenging transition into independence.

STRIVES for Exceptional Excellence addresses this gap by providing a structured environment where participants can foster social connections and enhance their networking skills with peers. The program emphasizes the importance of socialization, allowing members to express their concerns, build confidence, and support one another within the community. Additionally, through educational technology, participants learn to navigate the complexities of the modern job market. This includes assistance with resume creation on various platforms, developing professional profiles on networks such as LinkedIn, and optimizing job searches on sites like Indeed.

Access to STRIVES for Exceptional Excellence comes with a monthly subscription fee of $19.99. A free trial period of three months is offered upon registration in the application, after which the subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled within 24 hours before the end of the trial period. Users can cancel at any time via their iTunes account settings. Please note that any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited upon subscription purchase.
